Group Class Policies
Safety
To help maintain a safe and healthy environment for all dogs and handlers participating in group training classes, the following vaccination policy applies to all enrolled dogs.
Required Vaccinations
All dogs attending group classes must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations as recommended by their veterinarian.
Required vaccinations include:
-
Rabies (for dogs old enough per state law)
-
DHPP / DA2PP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza)
-
Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
Proof of vaccination may be required prior to participation and must be provided before the first class if requested.
Puppies in Puppy Classes
Puppies enrolled in puppy socialization or puppy foundation classes may participate prior to completing their full vaccine series provided that:
-
Puppies have received at least their first round of vaccinations
-
Vaccines are administered by a licensed veterinarian
-
Owners continue vaccinations according to their veterinarian’s schedule
We strongly encourage safe socialization during the critical developmental period while balancing health and safety precautions.
Illness
Dogs may not attend class if they are showing any signs of illness, including but not limited to:
-
Coughing
-
Sneezing
-
Vomiting
-
Diarrhea
-
Nasal discharge
-

-
Fever
-
Contagious skin conditions
If a dog becomes ill before class, owners must notify the trainer as soon as possible.
Dogs exposed to contagious illnesses should remain home until cleared by a veterinarian.
Parasite Prevention
Dogs attending group classes should be reasonably free of fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. We recommend maintaining regular preventative care through your veterinarian.

For the safety of all participants, we reserve the right to:
-
Request updated vaccination records
-
Refuse participation to dogs with incomplete required vaccinations
-
Deny entry to dogs showing signs of illness or contagious conditions
